Stevan Riley

Stevan Riley is a renowned documentary filmmaker whose debut, Rave Against the Machine (2002), explored Sarajevo’s underground music scene during the Bosnian War. The film won nine international awards, including the Special Jury Prize at Aspen Shorts Fest. His feature film Blue Blood, about the Oxford-Cambridge boxing rivalry, was praised by Variety and earned him nominations for Best Film at the Evening Standard Film Awards.Riley’s Fire in Babylon, about the West Indies cricket team, won a Grierson Award and received multiple nominations. His biographical film Listen to Me Marlon, featuring Marlon Brando's own audio tapes, was shortlisted for an Academy Award, won a Peabody Prize, and was named one of the top documentaries of 2015.
