His feature film Blue Blood, about the Oxford-Cambridge boxing rivalry, was praised by Variety and earned him nominations for Best Film at the Evening Standard Film Awards.Riley’s Fire in Babylon, about the West Indies cricket team, won a Grierson Award and received multiple nominations. His biographical film Listen to Me Marlon, featuring Marlon Brando's own audio tapes, was shortlisted for an Academy Award, won a Peabody Prize, and was named one of the top documentaries of 2015.
